Underfall No.1 – Simon Tozer

£120.00

An unusual view of the victorian pumping station and chimney at Underfall Yard in Bristol harbour.

This multicolour screen print is an unusual view of the victorian pumping station and chimney at Underfall Yard in Bristol harbour. As well as being a depiction of a place, interesting both for its architecture and atmosphere, l want in this image to give the viewer a sense of a pictorial journey through the space beginning with the ground, and leading towards the openness of the sky. This is another in an ongoing series of sea related images that have clouds as their main focus. Clouds are ethereal forms; in my prints they represent the world that lies beyond my own concerns. This is a seven colour screenprint on Fabriano Rosaspina paper.
