Together – Sarah Stewart

“Together” is a beautifully executed silkscreen print by printmaker Sarah Stewart. The crockery depicted in the print was found on a local beach in Garlieston, South West Scotland.

Although each piece of crockery in this print comes from a different pot, they have been arranged together to express the beauty and wholeness that comes from the gathering of many parts. I hope that this print depicts the wholeness that we will find once we are able to come together again.

This seven layered print has been hand drawn and hand pulled using a screen printing press in the artist’s home studio. With careful consideration of environmental ethics, Sarah uses a waterbased system in the creation of her prints.
