About the Artist
Grace Hailstone is an artist primarily working with intaglio and relief printmaking techniques. Her work is rooted in the subject of surreal landscapes, often caves, volcanic and imaginary landscapes, and is inspired by the experiences and memories of places. Working both figuratively and in abstraction, Grace enjoys the process of discovering work through combining exploratory printmaking techniques with intentions or ideas linked back to lived or imagined experience. Recently, Grace was commissioned as the first Bankside Banner Artist for the Globe Theatre in London (2019-20).
