Ellie’s practice focuses on both sculpture and print. Ellie graduated with a BA in Fine Art from Slade School of Fine Art in 2020. Within both mediums Ellie explores ideas around space, focusing on liminal spaces. The architectural language of spaces such as corridors, thresholds and boundaries create places of transition in our everyday lives. The relationship between the sculptures and the prints constantly changes. Over time the prints have become more sculptural and the sculptures more like drawings. This confused relationship and overlap between the two is something Ellie repeatedly explores. By working between both mediums, Ellie explores the in-between/liminal space between 2D and 3D. It is the intersection between the two where Ellie intends her work to be.
