Rosalind Lawless

Graduating with a Masters of Fine Art from Royal College of Art, permanent collections include Stirling university, PATHFOOT, Aberdeen Art Gallery and Pallant House Gallery and Museum. Most recently shortlisted for the Anna Lobner Dusseldorf award and awarded a scholarship for the International Summer Academy of Fine Arts Salzburg and the Bet Low Award.
Rosalind’s practice is strongly influenced by her immediate surroundings. She uses commonplace imagery to organise the pictorial space, using forms that occupy and give perspective within the substrate. She continues to explore the imagined and observed within architecture through the process of Layering, repetition, cut-outs, washout and transforming. The detail and form within architecture, intricate lines, structures and vast space are continually explored in her work.
